Intermittent starting issue C6 2007 convertible
I’m having an intermittent starting issue with my 2007 Corvette C6 Convertible (LS2 automatic) and I’m hoping someone here might recognize the problem.
I’ve owned the car for about 2 years now. Before that, it spent around 10 years sitting in a private collection with very little use.
The issue is that sometimes the car starts perfectly fine, but other times it will crank normally without starting. When this happens, I do not hear the fuel pump priming. The starter motor always turns over strongly, but the engine simply won’t fire up. There are no fault codes stored, and the problem seems to happen more often when the engine is cold than when it’s warm.
My garage already removed the fuel tank and found damaged wiring near the fuel pump with exposed wires. They repaired the wiring and for a short time the problem seemed completely solved, but unfortunately the starting issue returned after a while. The fuel pump relay has also already been replaced with a new one.
The car has never stalled or cut out while driving. The problem only occurs during startup.
Does this sound like it could be related to the immobilizer/security system, or is it more likely another electrical issue around the fuel pump or wiring?
Any ideas or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much for your quick response.
Could you please advise what I should ask my garage to check or measure? Also, is there perhaps a checklist and possibly a wiring diagram available for this?
