That would be counter to the past two generations where the GS ran for multiple years to wrap up the generation. According to GMauthority we won't see the c9 for 2 years with production starting in 3 years.

What will be will be. It's not important to me. I just WANT the 2027 GS. Going tmrw to order my 2027. The dealer has an "allocation" for me. I hope that they aren't "puling" my leg and telling me what I want to hear.

That wasn't said by GM representatives. What was said was that the GS will be the last new version introduced for the C8.
