I inquired about a car at corvette warehouse, and they had extra fees that they add on to the deal no matter what. Cash didn't matter so I decided to look elsewhere. Would never do business with a place that advertised a price and added a few thousand $ worth of non negotiable fees.
That's unfortunately a very common dealer practice
Edit: in response to Fauee's post about final
cost.... I bought an $8500 C5Z (blown motor) in Feb 2019, and it's now over a $60k car. Granted, it didn't have to get that expensive, but a lot of "may as well, I'm already here" things popped up
Cheap cars get expensive fast, like real fast. And that's why so many car projects get abandoned
IMO, any late model Corvette for $15k is a project waiting to happen

That's standard practice in FL. Advertise a crazy low price and then add fees back up to what it should sell for anyways. And they're non negotiable fees on everything so people are more likely to just accept them. It's just a fact of life when looking at the cheapest listings.
I'm gonna be blunt. If you can only afford $15k, you probably can't afford a C6. That's ok C5 or good C4 money these days.
The car at Corvette Warehouse is probably ok, but it's got 160k miles and likely needs lots of upkeep. If it needs new ball joints and shocks, do you have the space, time, and abilities to do them yourself? Or are you going to need the car to drive to work in the morning? What about wheel bearings, coolant leaks, or any number of things that just wears out on a higher mileage car?
Maybe you're different, but most people who come around here with only $15k to spend are you g guys and it's gonna be their only car and they don't have a garage, a ton of tools, experience and know how, and a backup car. If you have to pay someone to work on it, that $15k car becomes a.$25k car REAL quick.
Thanks for the feedback this would only be a car I drive occasionally for fun I have a daily driver i take to work I just want something I can occasionally drive and potentially take to the track every few weeks. I dont mind putting in a little bit more after the purchase for maintence and whatnot. Thanks so much.
