I have a 2019 Z 7 SPD, 5000 Miles I changed clutch fluid and a new battery along with other fluid changes Got a message on my dash when driving in Touring Mode- Gear Slipped? What is this?
How to fix?
I did feel a slight grind between first and second earlier to this I thought this was my fault, however I now think it might be connected?
Grind happened earlier
the message for “gear slipped” appeared on the dashboard
reading on line it says it could be a sensor in the transmission, expensive to fix
I had it all serviced at the dealer who does a ton of vetts
Thank you
Tomorrow I am bringing it to have it scanned - I prey all will be okay and it just needs a reset

Are you sure it was a Gear SLIPPED, and not a Gear SKIPPED, message?
I've never seen or heard of the former, but the latter is normal behavior for our cars' Computer Aided Gear Selection (CAGS) system. (It's mentioned on Pg 18 of my 2019 Owner's Manual.)
The skip shift rarely activates - only when accelerating slowly in traffic. I see it less than once a year. Just accelerate a bit more or shift into 4th gear. If it happens a lot install a skip shift (CAGS) bypass - you will get the message but have no restriction on gear selection.
