I made the mistake of leaving my 2016 C7 Z06 off the trickle charger for several weeks. I managed to get a charge on the battery but upon starting the engine this message came up on the infotainment screen. After turning off the engine and removing the key that message remains on the screen still brightly lit up. I've tried all the menu buttons but the message remains. Any ideas how I can get rid of it?
I didn't even think about disconnecting the battery and I'm sure your solution would have worked so thanks for the reply. Fortunately the message did disappear on its own after about four hours.
I had exactly the same message on my screen. I knew my battery was weak/dead. After reading here on the CF about this message I started freaking out about a bad HMI module. I used my HF Viking 1,000 Amp jump starter and my 2016 Z51 fired right up. Drove it down to AutoZone. Got a new AGM battery. Problem went away.
