I just bought a base 1990 with no key. I replaced key ignition. Bought resistors to bypass vats. The issue I am having is the 2 wires on harness side going to ccm/bcm for vats sometimes shows resistance.
The real issue is I can bypass with a resistor and when I use multi meter it shows 0 when I remove resistor gives me proper reading. Why would it go to 0 when I install on 2 wires for vats bypass?

going to try yellow to the green
i see the 2 relays most people say closest to steering but in my case the further one is the one with big gauge yellow wire.
