Picked up a 2000 Corvette Coupe. Factory color is Millennium Yellow. Glass roof panel has delamination. Anyone ever have their glass roof panel wrapped?
I sanded mine smooth and had a body shop clear coat it. Took a long time but it was winter in Minnesota so you have a lot of time on your hands in January.
Since I have both tops I didn't want to wrap the lexan one.
Once I paint the nose and roof and have some experience I may go back and do a flat or matte black ring at the lights and lower valence. It may go from being known as King Kong to being The Coon with the obvious black mask on the rear end.
I emailed them to inquire about any splitters remaining for the nose. I don't think I could get away with one in this state without it being ripped off somewhere but I'd like to collect one so I have the option in the future.

Really need to keep the hot sun out of the car at this point in South Florida. These are my choices. Tint the glass panel, buy a sunshade for it, wrap it black or yellow, or try and find a factory yellow painted top.
I scored a body panel for mine this week. My buddy is picking it up tomorrow morning in PA on his way back from Akron.
I've had them twice before and can tell you they're a solid answer.
The car it is going on has a lexan panel currently which was wrapped in CF pattern. The wrap certainly did better than a plain lexan top. No question. It might also do better with a thermal layer on the inside and an upholstery cover.
Did this on my back deck, i had a hairline crack in the front passenger side , crack stopped before getting to the inside of the car, i epoxied that up, and used a DA sander with 320 grit sand paper, and sprayed an automotive clear coat, came out good..

I like the clear top because it is not as heavy as the painted top, i have both, you can buy a suction cup sun shade for the inside to keep the sun and heat out.

I have some Word files that I gathered up over the years that discuss various ways to deal with targa tops that need repair. If you would like a copy of the files, PM me your e-mail address and I will send them to you.
