How about simply fixing everything that is wrong with the C8 on the new C9?

Default C8 >>> c9

Besides all that has been mentioned which I strongly agree with, I have two more items.
1. Please hinge the front trunk lid in the front. That hood, bonnet, or trunk lid was "traditionally" always with a front hinge point. Another benefit to doing it this way prevents it from flipping over the windshield at high speed in the event of a malfunctioning hood latch.
2. The passenger side of the car deserves the same great ergonomics and especially "space" as the driver side does. Currently the C8 is perfect for a "fat" driver and a "skinny" passenger!!! And take down the wall between the driver and the passenger. It is just not needed.

Isn’t that greatly improved in the 2026 redesign?

No, not too early. And if you hurry, you can beat the price increase.

I get the tradition of front hinges, which was always cool, but sounds like a royal pain for loading/unloading now that it is the primary storage of the car, at least for anything you don't want cooked in the rear storage. Has there really been an issue of hoods flopping open at high speed on these cars?

No need for a T-top. You can actually do a 2 piece targa top. The Porsche 918 Spyder has this. Its the best solution IMO and could fit in the frunk or trunk.

Sports cars have gotten so large and bloated.
Let’s trim down the car it’s got more *** than downtown Atlanta. I’m not going to hold my breath, but as someone else had stated more Ferrari less Lamborghini on the body lines.

The body length is too long. Shorten it by at least 12 inches. And remove those sharp / hard angles on the rear end.

Yes, there were a few incidents where the hood flipped over the windshield. Rare, but it still did occur.
It is not so hard to side load the front trunk and it is a shorter reach across.

I use my Stingray for grocery shopping and put the cold items in the frunk. It is definitely more convenient to have a front opening lid. I would need to lean against the fender or move to the other side of the car to fully load the frunk with a front hinged lid.
