...moving the 5.3 L up to 5.7L is something I did not know. The 5.3 has been a good workhorse for them even with the AFM. The 6.7L 409 has a chance to be a legendary engine for them in the future. Gen 6 of the small block we all know and love.
...they are bringing in more of the engine production in house to monitor quality better..... meaning less outsourcing to Mexico....
...."they are taking deliberate steps to ensure that the net gen engines deliver higher levels of quality and durability from the onset." Meaning we lost our way in trying to make as much money as we could and forgot the old ways of quality and durability that brings the customer back when its time for a new vehicle. .... Trust but Verify......
maybe I'm thinking things were better back in the 50's 60's and on but I always had good luck with all the old small and big blocks I owned over the years. They would run a long time if taken care of but todays engines can go double what the old ones did. The old engines were so much less complicated and the new ones are too complicated.... somehow we must find balance in the Force........ oh wait they did already...... they are called the LS1, 2, 3, 7 and 9........ ok the LS7 had its own problems which was outsourced ......
