Default Sensor gremlin

I’ve had the usual service abs/traction control codes since I bought my ‘02 15 months ago. Also had hvac no comm codes and left actuator codes too. All grounds were good and voltage to actuator was normal. Took my car to Brian at Elevate Automotive in Waco Texas who has extensive vette experience and he suggested changing the steering wheel location sensor even though the code was a history code. It’s been over a month and (knock on wood) there have been no codes or problems with anything.

Ask Brian how the HVAC no comm codes are linked to the steering wheel position sensor......

From what I’ve read and seen on this forum, the brains at GM decided to have the a/c codes aligned with the abs/traction control codes in order to “get your attention” which I know makes no sense. My a/c always worked normally but sometimes would not come on at start up until the dash lights went off. I guessing the a/c gets its power through the same circuit as the others. All I know is I don’t have any more codes of any kind, at least for now.

Fair enough. Can you provide a link where you read that on this forum?
