Corvette Wheels Limited Special Reimbursement Program
I think what the GM rep meant was that GM was not responsible for the disbursement
They are responsible for total payout but not the administrative handling
Unfortunately, your claim is not eligible for reimbursement because your wheel replacement was completed more than 4 years after your vehicle's original in service date. A formal notice regarding this determination will be mailed.
The terms of the reimbursement program only provide reimbursement for repairs that were completed within 4 years of the vehicle's original in service date.
My 2017 Grand Sport qualified under the requirements of the Limited Wheel Reimbursement program. I had hoped to be reimbursed by now, but I remain confident it will all pan out in the end. I feel GM made a compound error in agreeing to have the reimbursements handled by a firm who seems to have neither the staff, the tools, the expertise, nor the experience to effectively manage the certification of claims and disbursement of funds in a timely manner.
I don’t feel completely powerless though. I’ve owned Corvettes since the summer I turned 18, so I definitely qualify as a “loyal Corvette owner” by most any standard. GM does understand their “base” of loyal Corvette owners, such as my wife and I, are an immense factor in the more than seven decades success of Corvette.
The 2027 model year brings out the C8 Grand Sport. My power in this situation includes my ability to buy, or not buy, a C8 Grand Sport. Time will tell.
Here is the original link that provides the details:

And to be clear - other than the original acknowledgment of receiving my claim, neither GM or the organization handling the claims has responded to me. I know from reading the requirements that my situation meets the criteria, but I have zero communications from GM or the processor. As I said, “Time Will Tell”.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I was sitting on the couch the evening of (insert date within the warranty qualification period) watching Perry Mason reruns, when I heard several loud, sharp snapping sounds from the garage. I went into the garage to investigate and found that three of my four wheels had cracked while the car was parked. I was very surprised and dismayed.

BTW - the chance is 0%.

Thank you for your email,
The repair documentation provided with your claim is insufficient. The invoices do not contain an accurate VIN or Mileage for the vehicle at the time of each repair, both of which are required per the terms of the reimbursement program.
A formal notice regarding this determination and the steps you need to take to resolve the deficiencies will be mailed.
Sincerely,
Office of the Claims Administrator
When I get the mailed info I will upload it to this post. I have always done well at reading comprehension so I know I gave them exactly what they asked for. GM should have just refused to pay and not put up this sham website if they weren't going to pay.
I blame us Corvette purchasers we continually buy their product regardless of how they wouldn't have features that other cars had in the GM line and its supposed to be their top of the line product. My sons Malibu had more features than my wife's 2015Z. This 2018 will be our last Vette. So that recent garage queen better last till we die cause we won't be giving GM any of our well earned retirement money to them for a C8 or a C9.

Of course we could get a new C8, without the "Great Wall of Buttons". But when I asked the Corvette tech at our dealership when he thought the C8 would become a reliable car, he pondered that for a moment and said "Never". Not to mention that the newer C8s apparently need a cellphone connection to display the navigation map.
To many WTF? items to get my money.

I emailed them again saying BS and they said:
"The required information must be included on the repair invoice itself. Providing the information in the claim form is not sufficient as the repair invoice is needed to authenticate the information provided on the claim form. The documents you provided do not contain the required elements. Please contact the vendor and ask them to provide you with an updated invoice that contains the required information and proof that the invoice was paid.
Failure to provide the required information may result in the denial of your claim. As a neutral third party claims administrator we don’t have any authority to override the terms of the reimbursement program"

"String 'em up"
It's a shame, in some respects, that this solution is no longer available in a practical sense. I can't help but believe that the looming specter of a short drop would serve to focus mind and effort in the quest to see fair reimbursements distributed quickly. As the second owner of my C7 Corvette, I'm not even in the running. Thus, this is a spectator sport for me even though I did have some cracked wheels and the attendant expenses, time and trouble.
Ah yes, good old American Justice is gone.Just like my former employer that stole my pension - fought it court until everyone either died, or ran out of money to pay the thieving lawyers. Then many decades later, case was dismissed.
GM did not even have the nerve to give out discount coupons for $100 off the retail price of your next GM car over $100,000 - with a past expiration date. Don't think I would be too eager to buy a C8.
