Sam, nothing silly about an El Camino! That's another car we all could have had for next to nothing "back then" before they became desirable.
I would love to check it out for you but am up to my ears right now. Not only with 2 project cars myself, but helping our son prepare his house for rental and the house they are moving into will be a huge project in itself. Plus my wife keeps booking visits from grandkids which requires my help, 3 "vigorous" kids under 6 here at one time can be terrifying, and sometimes she has a 4th here too just so they can all interact!

How about the "Northeast" section of the forum? https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/northeast-40/ They seem like a good bunch and you might very well find someone from the Syracuse area who could get on it much quicker than I could. If you get nowhere, get back to me and I'll see if I can find a way. sounds like a fun project!

Don: I used Jeff Leach's (Mid America Industries) Front & Rear Clip and a '64 Vette Tub in the Middle, and then built a Frame for it... Rides like a Dream. Yes, the Seats are real comfortable, as I chose them to support my big A$$. A LOT of work went to this one.
I was in Phillie a few Summers ago, and Sat in the Real GS #002...I was previously looking for Geo Wintersteen, and no one knew where he was located. If you could let me know what his "address, E-mail" is, I would llike to write to him, if possible.
    Thanks
    Sam

Sam, I'm all to well aware of the History of the ( Technically 6 titled 1962 Corvette Lightweights ) & George would be Proud of your creation, he live 10miles from me & has a Travel Agencey here in Philly Burbs. Curious , who's aftermarket body did you start with ?
I dig the 80's seats, much more comfortable !! Don
