Well, while you are underneath - I would grab the driveshaft up by the transmission and try to move it up/down, side to side. A worn tailhousing bushing and driveshaft yoke with play will cause a pretty good vibration, although it doesn't really fit the definition of "shaking" as you are describing it. But checking it to eliminate this is cheap and easy.

One other option that might help narrow down the source of the vibration would be to mount a GoPro under the rear of the car pointed at the suspension. If the vibration is severe enough to feel, it should reveal itself. I would re-position it a couple of times pointed in another direction and repeat. Analyze the video and you may have your answer.
At the very least it should be entertaining to view.

My '65 would shake at the back end when I shifted. Turned out the poly bushing on the driver side tailing arm had crumbled. Replaced w rubber bushings. That problem solved.

Back end shake
Had the same thing. So,,, I ordered new trailing arms with bushings installed,, new drive shaft and reared shafts,, changed all u joints,,,ordered new tires had them road force balanced,.
NO MORE SHAKE. of course I don’t know what change stopped shaking,but I don’t care.Feels good having some new parts anyway.

My 66 coupe had a similar issue around 40 MPH, took the trailing arms off and sent to Bairs to have rebuilt....turns out both trailing arm housings were bent and had to be replaced, they seemed to think the bearings were changed at some point using a big hammer! After replacing arms, strut rods and have a four wheel alignment the problem went away.
I had previously replaced shocks, drive and half shafts along with U joints, this seemed to help the problem but not cure it. Hope this helps some.

Often (probably not always) if you have bad trailing arm bushings the car will walk or swing out in the rear under hard acceleration or sometimes braking.
