Yesterday I completed my last body drop onto a chassis. I used my gantry crane and custom lifting straps to accomplish my 14th and final body lift. (I count one removal and one placement as a single body lift).
I did this one for my buddy GOVETTEGO John who is selling off his 1978 Darth Vader car now. This is the body that heald the C-6 rear and has some other cool custom stuff done to it. I am certain it will be listed for sale here in the near future. This one is sitting on a 1969 rolling chassis I built just to hold the body for him. He built a custom steering rod that works great and the body and chassis are heading to John's house today.
Later in the day yesterday I was able to drive my 1974 Convertible back onto the lift where it will reside now for the winter. I removed the antennae so I can run it up without damaging it and have already marked the areas to be cut on the badly rusted exhaust system. My new hangers arrived now along with everything I need to install the 2-1/2" system so the tire tub will come out first, pictures will be taken, then the exhaust system will come off of the car. Pictures to follow in the days ahead.
HAPPY NEW YEARS to you all.

I look forward to see (and hear) how your exhaust adventure comes out. As you know, I went back and forth on what I used and the one thing out all the stuff I did with my car, the exhaust was what I looked forward to the most once everything was up and running. For me, it added a little ear candy.

David, a great story and I'm glad you made it back, I just have one problem... the Orange '77 came and went so fast, I almost missed it. I was saddened to see it go, I do hope we'll see it from time to time here however with the new owner.
I had this poster hanging in my garage for a number of years. So needless to say, I was delighted to see the one you bought and in such great condition.
The poster hung right above the '77 Corvette Light Blue car I bought on a whim. Unfortunately it was a left over, too late in the year to order one and orange was not offered in 1978. There was just something about that orange... or maybe it was just that poster.
