Nice ... I'm sure I will unlock the PCM after I've had the vehicle for a while, and have some more miles on it. I bought it with 6700 miles, and have about 11k on it now. If something goes wrong with the powertrain, I want the warranty to fix it. I'll probably keep it unmodified for 1-2 years (~30k miles most likely), then unlock the PCM and start tuning it then

With my wife's Durango (5.7 Hemi), I installed a Whipple supercharger at 10k miles and tuned it myself with HP Tuners. But on that vehicle, if I experienced a powertrain failure, I could fix it fairly cheap myself. On the C8, I'm not so sure ... So I'll wait a bit before doing anything which would give reason for a warranty claim to be denied

And on E85 ... Man, I wish it was accessible where I live. I'd love to put the wife's boosted hemi on it .. but unfortunately, there's no convenient stations in my area to get E85

Great plan, happy to hear your DCT Ron's better without the Carbyte plug in.

That's unfortunate not having E85 availability.

At least you have 93 octane, where my 2020 owners manual clearly states that 93 octane is "required". In my state and others only 91 is available.

Yeah, luckily, 93 is available everywhere around here; some better quality than others. I've got the wife's tune dialed in very tight and safe, where if she gets a contaminated tank of 93, the knock sensors register activity and pull timing as a precaution. I left the OEM thresholds for them and dialed the timing and fueling in with Shell 93. She used to fill up with 93 at QuikTrip, but twice now, their fuel caused significant knock sensor activity (not real knock or pre-detonation, but higher sensor activity). Adding some Lucas x3 Octane booster resolved it both time. So we've switched to only using Shell 93 since, and have not had an issue in many months now.

So when I finally do get around to tuning the C8 in a couple of years, I at least know I have rock solid 93 available to me at the many Shell stations around here

Maybe I got lucky but breaking in my car properly and changing the DCT filter early help create a solid LT2. With this Tremec DCT most issues occur early on and driving this car creates consistency.
