Default Triple disc clutches?

What triple is everyone running? I currently have a mantic twin that should have held my power level 800ish ft. Lb. Torque, but it did not. Lost it on dyno during tuning. Slipped at 5,000 rpm on 3rd pull after 2,000 miles of easy street driving and proper 500 mile break in. Rps, mantic, ?

thanks man. Missed my first half mile event due to the clutch. Sucked. I'm surprised the mantic twin failed. Always heard good things about it. Since i got to replace, definitely stepping up to triple.

Love the Monster LT1-S triple. Great drivability and holds power no problem.

Surprised the mantic twin gave up that easy, I had one hold 1030/970 before it let go and it already had 7000 hard miles on it when we turned it up. Clutch is still good actually per Mantic, has about half its friction material left, its just been overpowered.

Ill have a prototype Mantic quad in my hands in the next few weeks, ill post up about it once its here as long as Geoff @ Mantic gives me the green light to do so.

I'm surprised the Mantic let go at that level too, I prefer not to bring a clutch right to it's limits, but you should have held fine.

We just had a pallet of Mantic's arrived the other day so PM me if you are in need.

The Monster LT1-S Triple will be the best of both worlds. Its rated for 1000WHP/TQ and you don't have to sacrifice drive-ability.

Give us a shout if you have any questions.

i have mantic triple and its the best clutch I've ever had but I'm only at 860tq at the wheels. very easy to drive and smooth.

I have never driven the RPS but when I was talking to ace32x he had one in his 1k hp zr1 and he said it was not great and engagement was pretty bad.

Totally agree with this statement. Close to stock, no chatter like my dual, and holds power even in 4th/5th with boost by speed and high load low RPM. Clutch is amazing.

yeah, we were very surprised. I bought my twin from you. Twin never saw drag strip, just street driving on 20 in. Radials. Just put 15in. ET streets on, for about 50 miles. Did first 3 pulls ok, then slipped on 4th pull at 5,000 rpm. Now it won't hold it on street either.

McLeod makes an RXT HD twin disc version (1200rwhp rating). I've pushed it to well over 1200rwhp in 5th gear for 1/2 mile events probably 100x over 3 years. It has light pedal pressure and believe it or not isn't grabby either. 88mm turbo on an LS9 long block spinning to 7800rpm.

Anyone do the mantic triple in a C5? I heard that I have to do a C6 bellhousing.

Also have an RPS in my C5, on and off switch only but race car so no big deal. Mantic 9000 twin in my C6... love it! Best street clutch I have ever had. Not even bothered when the juice hits.

I've heard of people doing it, but like you said, it isn't a direct bolt in. Need a few c6 parts/etc to make it work.

I have been told a few times by our distributors that they use a Quick Time bell housing in the C5's to use a triple disc. We have used them in C6's here so in theory it should be the same for a C5, but I have not done it personally.
