Good day. More informational with my experience to date. I purchased this car in November with 9 miles on it. Trading in a 22 C8R. Third Corvette now.
After 75 miles went to have PPF on front and tract to learn that I had paint damage/peeling around head lights. Learned over torgued at factory. Dealership corrected and repainted. Concerned on product after this.
Fast forward to today. Wash my vehicle once a week whether it needs it or not myself. With PPF and Ceramic coating use a leaf blower to remove water before hand dry after hand wash by myself only. This past Saturday, washed and put up in AC controlled garage. Moved this past Tuesday and in reverse would not move or jerky. Finally able to back out and went down the road and sounded like wheel flat. No wheel flat. A stop sign sounded like brakes were coming apart. Towed roll back to dealership. Told yesterday warranty not valid for repair. Due to brakes sticking/stuck to rotor all 4 needs new rotors and pads. WHAT! Unbelievable you cant was this car and put it up. Filed complaint with CHEV and GM. Just for information purposes only. Usually they say it comes in three's. After two I think I will sell her after it is repaired at my cost. You can search at the cost. CRAZY!

Or just change the pads to Carbotech, assuming they are iron brakes…..What I also find interesting is that this must have been the 32nd time you washed your car (one a week) and the first time you had the pads stick?
Hmm I have had steel and CCBs and never had issue washing car and parking it. Steel would get rusty looking till i drove it and hit the brakes. CCB no issue
This is a normal behavior for the iron brakes. Park the car after washing with the brakes still wet, they can stick/rust to the rotors. It's not a defect hence why it isn't covered by warranty. Solution is to do a quick drive to dry them out through use.
Or switch out the pads to carbon pads. Won't void the warranty unless the failure is the brakes and the fault is with the pad.

Yup definitely sell it. There will be someone out there that will be incredibly thrilled to own such a nice car, with such low miles and get it at a steep discount under MSRP.
I mostly clean my car with detail spray and Mothers R3 for the tire marks I get at the track. When I do wet wash it I follow with a brisk drive. I love the car but am not a big fan (understatement) of the dealer service dept but I don't think you can lay this one on them.

I've had the pads stick to the rotors on my Z06 after washing on a couple of occasions. After blow drying the car, it needs to be driven around the block applying the brakes a few times or the pads will stick. The high spots of the pad on the rotor will wear off based on my experience after a few drives. If not, the wheel can be removed and you can use 150-180 grit sand paper to remove the remaining pad material on the rotor.
Unfortunately: From GM to dealers: #25-NA-203: Information on Normal Characteristic - Brake Pad Stiction on Z06 Equipped with Iron Rotors (Z06 Model Only, Not for E-Ray) - (Aug 11, 2025)
My 2024 did this the first time I washed it. Now I just make it a point to blow out the brakes to dry them. Then I back down the driveway once or twice and slowly brake. Don't set the parking brake after a wash either.
Never had the brakes stick again.
Plenty of issues come up with these cars that would make me want to sell it... but this isn't even on the list.
I know the main part of the thread is mechanical, but want to make sure i point something out to you since esthetics also seem important to you.
The recommended cadence for washing ceramic coat is bi weekly cadence using the 2 bucket method. If you wash it more frequently you wont necessarily "damage" it, but the ceramic coat life will be cut short. To extend the longevity, products like americana aftercare and ceramic coat "refresh" products (like a sport coat of ceramic pro) will do the trick.
Sorry to hear about your troubles, but i echo what has been said on the thread regarding moving the vehicle after washing it. This platform has many known issues, but i dont believe ive read brakes to be one of them.
I hope you get to enjoy the ride soon, youll have a blast!

If You replace the Rotors and pads, can you please ship the ruined rotors and pads to me, instead of letting the dealer throw them away?
I will happily pay for the shipping fees.
Thanks.
Sounds like basic operator error. If the OP wasn't so concerned about having a garage queen, but instead actually drove it, he wouldn't have a issue. The blame is on the OP and not the dealer or GM. This is a well known characteristic that's normal and easily avoided.

Yep, these cars should be going to twisty road carvers/enthusiasts, not the lame cars & coffee crowd.
I washed my 26 Z06 with iron brakes 3 or 4 times before I switched to Carbotech pads, I would use a backpack blower to dry off the car and blow off the wheels and brakes. I would then drive it the 20 feet into my garage…never had the pads stick…maybe a little “rust” where the pads were but that was it...
I had the same issue with brakes sticking. I switched to CarboTech 1521 pads. No more sticking pads, almost no brake dust as well. Highly recommend them, unless you are tracking the car
