C7 Corvette: Specifications by Trim

Learn which equipment and features come standard on the C7 and which are available as part of an excellent trim package.

This article applies to the C7 Corvette (2014-current).

The differences between a C6 and a C7 Corvette can be seen both inside and outside of the cabin. The car's aggressive back end design and use of 'smart material' technology to control cabin pressure is certain to grab your attention at the onset. But a number of other specifications will make this seventh-generation sports vehicle a winner among previous model years (as well as competitor sports cars) to earn your dollars and appreciation. Choose between three trim levels, each offering a full range of impressive features and equipment, for a solid ride both on and off the track. The C7 benefits most from the sophisticated technology that sets it apart from other sports cars on the automotive market today. Let's take a look at the components most important to car buyers.

Component Breakdown

Chrome Wheels

With three LT trim packages and three Z51 performance packages available to buyers, the C7 is a top-end sports car with some of the most competitive standard and available features on the automotive market today. Chrome wheels are available across all three trim levels; however, only silver-painted wheels come standard.

Leather Seats with Suede Inserts

Luxury leather seats with suede inserts offer an attractive way to bring sophistication and style to the C7. While a popular feature among many buyers, suede inserts are only available on two trim levels: 2LT and 3LT.

Keyless Access with Push Button Ignition

The C7 features a keyless entry system that makes locking and starting the vehicle easy. This standard feature is available across all three trim levels.

Scheduled Maintenance

The C7 is a high performance vehicle that is subject to a regular maintenance schedule. Because the C7 is manufactured with Michelin tires that feature asymmetrical sidewalls and advanced tread depth, most drivers report high tire performance and excellent braking performance; however, regular tire rotation is required every six months. The C7 is manufactured for top speeds on and off the track, and its small-block V-8 engine offers a solid ride with optimum stability. Check the DIC regularly for warning that the engine oil is too low or needs to be changed.

Common Questions

What equipment is not available with the first trim level?

The first trim level (1 LT) does not include a carbon-fiber roof with body-color surround or suede inserts for the seats. However, a transparent roof panel is available.

Which features are not available with the first trim level?

While the first trim level offers a wide range of standard features, such as cruise control, traction control and launch control, it excludes a number of other popular features, such as an advanced theft-deterrent system, universal home remote and memory package. A navigation system, though not a standard feature, is available.

Is navigation available across all trim levels?

Navigation is available with the 1 LT and the 2 LT; it comes standard with the 3 LT.

Common Issues

A/C system has gone out

There may be a leak in the A/C system due to a crack. This could cause refrigerant to leak out when the A/C is in use. The system most likely needs a new tube or component.

Seat ventilation system is unreliable

C7 offers ventilated seating to improve passenger comfort. The seat ventilation system often works best in humid versus dry environments. If you are pumping the A/C out at face level versus floor level, the problem could appear worse. Have the system checked by your dealer and always set the A/C to face level when driving in dry environments, if possible.

Navigation screen jumps around and won't accept input

The navigation system may need to be reset. If the problem continues, have your dealer check the system for hardware damage or a poor system configuration.
