1. C4 Generation

The C4 Corvette was the fourth generation that General Motors offered, and after skipping the year 1983, 1984 marked the beginning of a new generation for the American legend. Although the C4 Corvette is not the most valuable today, it was an immediate hit upon its debut. The C4 Corvette was packed with new technologies, and the generation lasted until 1996. It received praise for its jaw-dropping acceleration and equally for its intense road grip and superior handling.

2. 127-Miles

You can purchase a C4 Corvette any day, but you can probably never find one with 127 original miles. This 1990 ZR1 C4 Corvette is simply one-of-a-kind. The low-mileage is not just a number, however, the condition of this all-American sports car is as perfect as the number on its odometer.

3. Engine and Performance

The C4 Corvette saw a huge leap in the performance of the brand, and this 1990 ZR1 featured a Mercury Marine-designed 5.7-liter LT5 V-8 engine. Developed with the help from Lotus, the ZR1 delivers 375-horsepower, which was a rather big jump from the previous generation Corvette.

4. Features

The extremely low-mileage Corvette comes with a removable hardtop, a bright red exterior, and a black interior. The 5.7-liter V-8 DOHC 32V engine works collaboratively with an ML9 six-speed transmission, which helps it reach the 375-horsepower mark. Lotus helped General Motors with the ZR1's active suspension system, also known as FX3, as well as the air management system, which allowed the motor to turn off eight of the sixteen fuel injectors when the engine was running at part throttle.

5. Price

Buying a normal C4 Corvette nowadays can cost anywhere from $4,000 to $15,000, sometimes more when they are a rare find. However, with this ZR1 being the rarest of finds, it was priced in 2015 on eBay at $31,100 as a starting bid, and on its own website, the 1990 ZR1 Corvette with the 127-miles was offered with the price tag of $47,995. The Corvette's bidding ended with $36,200 after 43 bids.
