1. One Smokin' Hot Deal

We're always on the hunt for Corvette bargains. So as you might imagine, we've seen just about every kind of deal there is to be had on pretty much every generation of Chevy's fiberglass wonder. So when we came across this 2015 Corvette that popped up for auction over at Copart, we knew we had found a smoking deal. But we mean that in the literal sense, not figuratively.

2. Talk About a Hot Deal!

Believe it or not, this hunk of molten fiberglass and metal is (was?) a Corvette. Obviously, the once proud sports car was destroyed by a wee bit of fire damage, and shockingly enough, is being sold with a "nonrepairable" title. Hard to believe, right? What might be even harder to believe is the fact that the estimated retail value of this giant pile was set at a cool $42,838. Talk about a bargain!

3. Perfect Project Car?

Now this might seem like the perfect project car on the surface, but we must point out the obvious negatives here. We don't want to dissuade you, but it turns out that this Corvette doesn't come with a key. We're also not really sure what the original color was, as Copart lists it as "BURN." And the 9 miles, uh, "showing" on the odometer are not verified, so there's that. But other than that, what more could you want out of a project car?

4. Complete Package - Sorta

At least it seems like everything's here. As far as we can tell, anyway. There are clearly two mufflers out back, and the 6.2 liter V8 is intact. This much we know for sure. Pretty sure that's an alternator housing in there, too. Or maybe not.

5. And It Sold!

Now for the bad news. This smokin' hot deal is no longer available. Somebody actually bought the thing, though for how much, we don't know. We'll go out on a limb and guess that the hammer price didn't come close to that $42,838 estimated retail value, however. As for why anyone would buy such a thing at any price, we really aren't sure. Unless they're using it for some fancy art piece.
