2019 Carlisle Lakeland Winter AutoFest Was Corvette Heaven

Escaping Winter

For Corvette owners across much of the country, winter is a sad time. A time when you have to store your beloved ride away, protecting it from those nasty, salty, icy roads. But that certainly wasn't the case for those in attendance at this year's Carlisle Lakeland Winter AutoFest.

Rapid Growth

Carlisle, long a legendary promoter of automotive events in Pennsylvania, first came to Florida back in 2013. They've since experienced massive growth at this event, necessitating a change in venue to the Sun ’n Fun complex in Lakeland, Florida.

Top Flight

For Corvette fans, this event offers up nearly endless activities. That includes the 41st NCRS Winter Regional Meet, where judges bestowed Top Flight Certificates upon 17 cars this year.

Plenty of Activities

Other activities included a Corvette Fun Field, Corvette Celebrity Judging, vendor displays, seven Corvette related seminars, a food midway, automotive flea market, and a for sale car corral.

Cheap Ride

And if you were feeling a little lucky, the National Corvette Museum was also selling $10 raffle tickets for a 2019 Corvette.

Place Your Bids

More than a half-million people attend the various shows Carlisle Events puts on each calendar year, and quite a few cars are sold at their corresponding auctions, too.

Gold Medal

One of the stars of this year's show was James Davis' Harvest Gold, V8-powered 1955 Corvette. The gorgeous C1 received a Sportsman award at the event.

Corvette vs Cobra

The Fabulous Restorations Owens/Corning L88 Corvette replica was also in attendance, doing "battle" once again with Dr. Gingold’s 1965 427 Cobra in the Corvette vs. Cobra War seminar.

Cross Country Athlete

James Henry bought this one-owner 1967 Corvette back in 2010, but at the time it didn't run after suffering flood damage. He's since got it running and has even driven it cross-country.

Restomod Heaven

There were plenty of restomods in attendance as well, including this gorgeous '65 convertible from Coffman Corvette. And that's just a small sampling of the many amazing rides at this year's Winter AutoFest. So be sure and head over to Super Chevy to check them all out!
