Painful Sight

The 2023 Corvette Z06 has remained one of the hottest new vehicles on the market following its launch a few months ago, with demand far outstripping supply at the moment. Packing a high-revving engine that's the most powerful naturally-aspirated V8 in history, it's no surprise that the new Z06 is fast - apparently too fast for some, as we can see from this wrecked example that recently popped up at the salvage auction site IAA.

Solid Rebuild Candidate?

This 2023 Corvette Z06 only had a mere 190 miles on the clock when it crashed, meaning that it wasn't even broken in yet when things went horribly wrong. However, the damage doesn't look too catastrophic judging by the photos provided, meaning that someone might be able to score a cool rebuild project for a reasonable price.

Clean Interior

Peeking inside the cabin, it doesn't look as if the interior suffered any kind of damage, nor does it look like the airbags went off, so this Z06 probably didn't suffer from any kind of high-speed crash, at least. This also makes the car's rebuild potential a bit more appealing to anyone looking to take on that job.

Hard to Find Parts

On the outside, most of the damage seems to be present on the front end, where the carbon fiber splitter has been smashed up, along with the front bumper. Normally, this wouldn't be a big deal, but given the fact that GM is dealing with supply chain issues trying to procure carbon fiber parts for these cars, it might be difficult to find a replacement.

Other Problems

The same goes for the front wheels, which have been bent up and are in need of replacement. One of the wheels is also bent in a way that it seems as if the car has also suffered some suspension damage, which will need to be factored into the rebuild budget.

Solid Opportunity?

Overall, this 2023 Z06 isn't in the worst shape, however, and it's a desirable car with top 3LZ trim and the coveted Z07 Performance Package. It's unclear just how much of a discount one will get on the car's actual undamaged cash value of $219,950, but it's certainly possible that there's a big opportunity here for there right person.
