We’re usually pretty cool but these cars get us fired up

The world would be a better place if we all drove Corvettes. What a world indeed, but sadly that's not the reality of the matter. While most people driving most cars are totally fine, there are some exceptions. These people tend to gravitate towards a certain kind of car and all drive and act the same exact way. Why this happens is a mystery, but here are 5 cars and owners that we dislike, and who to avoid.

1. Toyota Prius

It’s always a Prius, isn’t it? They are inevitably going 62 MPH in the left lane and refuse to yield to faster traffic. We get it, you’re trying to save the environment by giving up your individuality, sense of style and shame and driving a Prius. That does not mean you get to block the flow of traffic and lead a fuel economy parade. We aren’t sure if they are oblivious, or intentionally annoying, but they need to knock it off, pronto.

2. Any Modified Sport Compact

It’s every Civic, Sentra, or Focus with an aftermarket exhaust. Having a 5” exhaust tip is all they need to fit right in. They all feel the need to pull up next to you in the ‘Vette, rev their engines and try to “street race” while going a furious 38 MPH. There’s nothing wrong with owning and tinkering with an economy car, but don’t act like that and bug Corvettes, because even if you kept it in 6th gear, they wouldn’t stand a chance.

3. Semi Trucks/Big Rigs

They are going faster than that Prius back there, but are still a hassle. Let’s hope you have that CAGS skip-shift disabled, because you need to drop a few gears and rip past that truck before things get ugly for your paint. Yes, those big truck tires are excellent at flinging up rocks and debris, wrecking your paint job. Save your paint job, and get past that truck.

4. Ford Mustang

To the surprise of no one, the Ford Mustang has made it into this list. Even before they were crashing into crowds of people at Cars and Coffee, or into other cars, they were annoying Corvette owners. Neither the Ford Modular or Coyote V8 can stand against the GM LS and new LT V8 engines, but it doesn’t stop them from trying. Sure, the 5.4L Supercharged Trinity V8 in the latest GT500 was an animal, but that car was still a 3900 pound pig with a solid rear axle, making the ‘Vette seem like an absolute featherweight and technological powerhouse.

5. Dodge Hellcat

Oh, look at me, I drive a Dodge Challenger Hellcat, and it has 707 horsepower, your puny little Z06 only had 650. They can laugh all they want until both cars hit the drag strip, autocross, or road course, then it’s bye bye little Hellkitten. The Hellcat weighs nearly 1000 pounds more than a Z06, and some 1200 pounds more than a Stingray, and weight is the ultimate enemy to performance. Additionally, good luck putting all 707 horses through those 275 section width tires. Hard to hear the comments from them Mopar boys when they get left in the dust just spinning those tires not going anywhere.
