1. True Lies

Bill Paxton plays a sleazy car salesman who tries to pick up women driving a sweet 1959 C1. Things don't end up so nicely for Paxton's character in the movie as usurper but hey, this is an Arnold movie so what would you expect? The 'Vette here is my all time favorite as they just don't get any classier than this one. Not so classy is Paxton's character, who utters the cringy line, "the 'Vette, gets 'em wet!"

2. Star Trek

Star Trek fans everywhere got a treat with the JJ Abrams reboot of the franchise back in 2009 by seeing Capt. James T. Kirk as a child. Mischievous as always, the pre-adolescent captain nicks his stepdad's 1965 'Vette on a joyride set  to the hit "Sabotage" by The Beastie Boys. The cojones on this kid to not just steal the car but push it to its limits, only to throw the thing off a cliff after a spinout, is pretty remarkable. Check out the scene here

3. Billy Jack

Tom Laughlin plays Billy Jack who gets his amazing choice of head wear from his Native American background and sports hapkido master level martial arts skills. Billy is out to defend the students of a hippie school from angry townsfolk who have nothing better to do than mess with the flower kids. At one point in the film, Billy makes one of the people up to no good drive their gold 1969 Corvette into a lake. I can't really agree with wasting a classic car that could have just as well been taken away from the offending party, but I'm not Billy Jack. Click here to see why you do not confront Billy Jack anywhere near a body of water in your car.

4. A View To A Kill

In the 14th entry for James Bond and the last of the Roger Moore era as the titular character, Bond faces off against a wealthy Silicon Valley government contractor. I know this sounds like a movie made for the present, but this is some good old 1980's gold starring Christopher Walken, Grace Jones, and Tanya Roberts. In the film, Russian spy Pola Ivanova is trying to figure out what Max Zorin is up to, and she picks a C4 Corvette to commit crimes in. Sadly, there is no YouTube film of this one for visual proof of aforementioned espionage in an American icon.

5. The Last Stand

Here is Arnold in his first role post-Governor of California as a small town Sheriff. His deputies get wind of a crime lord with a modified Blue Devil as a car who needs to pass through to escape to Mexico. Arnold does vehicular battle with the villain in a ZR1 in a pretty crazy scene that should be seen at least once. Here is the Blue Devil doing what it does best in a few moments from the movie.

6. XXX

Fresh from the success of the very first Fast and Furious film comes Vin Diesel's first solo project as the cooler alternative to your mom and dad's secret agent (a unnoticeable dig at Pierce Brosnan who was James Bond at the time). The film received mixed reviews before release but did little to damper the profitable turn it had at the box office. Regardless of the complete film, the opening scene where Diesel steals a convertible Corvette for a high-speed chase from the police and ends with him parachuting into a convertible driven by Tony Hawk is batpoop ridiculous. Here is the big stunt scene where the C5 gets its flying wings.

7. Hit and Run

A dreadlock-rocking Bradley Cooper drives a CTS-V wagon against Dax Shepard in a C6 Grandsport in what can only be described as a bit over three minutes of film that will put a smile on any enthusiast's face. Actually, you should go check out the movie if you haven't already since there are also a plethora of other great vehicles burning out, racing, and chasing one another in this movie. It also stars Shepard's wife Kristen Bell, Tom Arnold, and Michael Rosenbaum. Check out the Devil vs. CTS-V wagon sequence here
