1. America's Sports Car

What's more fitting than a slew of Corvettes wearing the colors of our great country on the anniversary of its birth? Nothing, that's what. So we scoured the interwebs and found a handful of uber patriotic rides worthy of feasting your eyeballs on this 4th of July. That is before you feast on some combination of BBQ and apple pie.

2. BFG Stars & Stripes C3 Racer

Back in the 60's and 70's, if a tire maker like BF Goodrich wanted to show off its latest rubber, it did so by commissioning the build of an actual race car. And that's exactly what they did by teaming up with John Greenwood to build three "Stars & Stripes" Corvettes rolling on Lifesaver Radials. With the legendary ZL-1 racing engine under the hood and a super patriotic paint job, the 'Vettes competed in FIA events at iconic tracks like Le Mans, Daytona, and Sebring.

3. C1 Gumball Competitor

This early Corvette represented America well as it participated in the British racing event known as the Gumball 3000. Taking place across Europe, the Gumball is known for its celebrity involvement, wild parties, and the large crowds that it draws yearly. What better place to proudly show off a little slice of old school Americana?

4. Parade Worthy C3

Parades might not be exclusive to America, but we do them better than anyone else. And this American flag adorned C3 Corvette is a perfect parade piece. Just throw a few of those giant bags of candy in the back, plant this year's local prom queen in the passenger seat, and you've got the makings of a truly American Tuesday morning.

5. C2 Worth Saluting

Speaking of parade worthy rides, how about this nicely done C2 convertible? Some might argue that the patriotic paint job ruins the classic ride, but those are people are ones that we like to refer to as "communists."

6. Blurring the Colors of Freedom

We Americans might not have invented the parade or motorsports racing, but we sure have dominated the sport over the years. And we can't think of a better way to blaze down the quarter mile or clip an apex than in a red, white, and blue Corvette.

7. Show off Your Pride

If you've got a patriotic Corvette, you better show it off. Because like the American flag itself, these rides were built with gushing pride. And we all know that showing a little bit of bravado is an American trait, too.
