1. Bumper Sticker

No one cares what you believe in, no one cares what your political views are, and certainly no one cares what your bumper sticker reads, people just want to look at your Corvette. If you own a Corvette, then it is your responsibility to maintain a clean exterior, or else you are simply spitting in the face of some of the most talented automotive engineers to ever design a car. The most beautiful woman in the world wouldn't wear a mask when she wants to look pretty, would she?

2. Large Spoiler

Your Corvette is fast, everyone knows this, your large spoiler won't make it look faster, and it definitely won't help keep your Vette grounded on the track. Your 6.2-liter engine is a powerful motor, and your car can definitely handle it, don't think for once that your Amazon-purchased spoiler will add anything to your handling. The worst spoilers are the ones that need to bolt on, and seeing one on a Corvette is nothing short of a heartbreak to any and every Corvette enthusiast.

3. Decals

We don't care what anyone says, a fire decal won't look good on your Corvette, it never had and it never will. Covering some of the sexiest automotive curves with flames are like painting a beautiful mansion dirty color. There is not one single spot on your Vette that might be complemented by fire decals, or any type of decals for that matter. There is nothing better than seeing a smooth, clean Corvette just cutting through the wind, but decals are the quickest way to ruin that pleasure.

4. Late Maintenance

With such a powerful engine with lots and lots of horsepower, you need to be on top of your maintenance. This massive engine needs to perform, and if it has old, dirty oil, you can screw it up much quicker than you would in your average Nissan Sentra. Be sure to keep a notebook with all of your maintenance history as Corvette buyers love this. Also, for the sake of the bond between you and your Vette, always maintain it properly; your mother will never let you starve or stay ill, so don't do that to your baby.

5. Bad Washing Habits

There are two quick ways to ruin the sleek, gorgeous paint on your Corvette: wiping the paint when it's dry and using laundry detergent as car soap. First, when you wipe the exterior without soaking it with water and soap, you are taking all the little rocks and debris that your eyes may miss and using them as tools to scratch the perfectly nice, expensive paint, so use lots of water and soap to get everything off before toweling away. Finally, just because laundry detergent makes your clothes smell good doesn't mean it is worthy of your Vette, it will actually mar your paint rather quick. Use car soap, and only use car soap to wash your iconic Corvette.

6. Stick-On Chrome

Stick-on chrome parts are dime-a-dozen for the Corvette, and now you can put chrome around any part of your car. However, before you go sticking plastic chrome pieces around the grille, the side-mirrors, and the taillights, think about this, do you think you have better taste in automotive design than the engineers that designed the Corvette? Stick-on chrome parts are work of evil, and there has not been any recorded incident in which they make a Corvette any better looking, it is simply not possible.

7. Riding the Clutch

If you burn your clutch, not only will it cost you a fortune to fix, you will never hear the end of it from your friends. Riding the clutch happens when you keep the clutch engaged when it is not the time to shift gears or slow down. This usually happens when you think you're about to slow down, so you just step on the clutch while waiting to see if you will actually need to slow down, but it could also happen if you're trying to do a burnout and you're not good at it, causing the clutch to burn, and if this is the case, indeed, then your reputation is at stake.
