1. Visit the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green

Corvette: America's only true sports car. That was the case in 1953 and remains true 63 years later! If no other car deserved a dedicated museum, 'Vette still would—to capture six decades of heritage, speed, power, and unmatched styling. Honestly, if you do nothing else in 2017, plan to visit the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. It's open from 8 am to 5 pm CT, seven days a week, 360 days per year*. Admission is only $10 for adults, $5 for kids 6-16, and free for kids younger than six. Plan the trip today and your family will be able to look forward to it for months to come.

*Closed New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

2. Watch New Corvettes Being Built

Corvettes are assembled at only one location in the world: the Bowling Green assembly plant in Kentucky. And it is located directly across the street from the national museum. One of the reasons you bought the car was because you were blown away by its engineering excellence. See those engineering tours-de-force being carefully incorporated into the vehicle's sub-assemblies, witness the incredible focus and care of the hand-picked Corvette techs. You can't really appreciate the uniqueness of your chosen ride until you've visited the line where it was born.

3. Take a Road Trip with Your Local Corvette Club

Well, first you have to join that club! The dues are not very much and there is more than one really good club in your area. Resolve to join one in 2017. Then you can take advantage of the fact that you own one of the best road cars ever made, not to mention one that attracts the most loyal and passionate owners in the industry. These are good people, all of whom share your devotion to the car and the road. Join them and increase your enjoyment tenfold.

4. Do the Brake System Upgrade You've Been Putting Off

You've had the parts for a while now. OK, the installation may be a little daunting, but the brake kit is carefully tailored to your car. It will just take a little patience and some dedicated time. Just think, no more pedal-almost-to-the-floor stops, diving and swerving, or pedal chatter. Just firm, progressive, and powerful braking. Isn't this one of the best resolutions you could make this year?

5. Enter an Autocross Event

There's nothing like a Corvette road trip; or is there? How about joining a long line of 'Vette drivers who have accepted the ultimate challenge of autocrossing? You own one of the world's best handling sports cars. Why not test its limits instead of just driving it to shows or club events? You may possess a talent you never imagined, and if you do, you will be one of those rare people who was brave enough to discover his passion.

6. Eliminate the Chance of Any Future Cooling System Boilovers

OK, so the autocross was a little tough on your cooling system. That's what's so great about owning a Corvette: there are literally thousands of aftermarket suppliers who make upgrade kits that even a casual mechanic can install. Research the cooling system upgrade kits on Corvette Forum. When the parts arrive, get a buddy to help you install it and you'll likely never have another boilover.

7. Drive a Corvette at the Indianapolis Speedway

You've always planned on going to Bloomington Gold. Did you know that it is now held at Indianapolis Speedway? So, in addition to checking out all the incredible cars and scouring one of the world's largest Corvette swap meets for that impossible-to-find part, you can drive a 'Vette on the actual Speedway interior race course. Sign up for the Chevrolet Ride and Drive Experience and be prepared to claim unparalleled "track day" bragging rights.

8. Marry That Special Lady

She's always supported you, even encouraged you to buy your Corvette when there were doubters all around you. She can't think of anything better than going with you on road trips. So propose to her this year, include your 'Vette in the wedding, hop in and honeymoon in Bowling Green or Indianapolis!
