A Glow in the Dark Corvette is the Perfect Night Owl

There used to be a time when custom paint jobs were a crazy sight to see, and now if you look hard enough you could end up seeing a Corvette that glows in the dark.

1. 24 Hours of Le Mans

The latest 24 Hours of Le Mans is about to start, and the official vehicle testing has begun. The very first place in the testing was captured by Aston Martin for the LMGTE AM class with their Vantage. The second place, however, was courtesy of Larbre Competition, who came in just 0.052 seconds after the first place. The second place was an artsy C7 Chevrolet Corvette with glow-in-the-dark paint.

2. Ramzi Adek

The artwork on this extremely creative Corvette C7 was created by street graffiti artist Ramzi Adek. Ramzi is a Frenchman that has been known for his renditions of cartoon characters like Mickey Mouse and the Simpsons, but the 24 Hours of Le Mans will definitely be his biggest stage just yet. Ramzi Adek has done some car-art before on a Mercedes SLS and a Ferrari, along with some other vehicles, but none look as crazy as this one.

3. Super Hero Theme

The Corvette that is sure to steal the show at the next 24 Hours of Le Mans is painted with a superhero theme, which Ramzi titled "Human." On the hood of this C7, you'll see the word "Human" written in huge lettering, and as you scan the rest of the masterpiece, you'll see cartoonish words like "BOOM," "CRASH," and "WHAM!" If you're a fan of Corvettes, cartoon, or just art, you will appreciate what Adek has done to this race-car.

4. The Idea

Ramzi Adek wanted to create a meaningful masterpiece that is appropriate for the aggressive race that is the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Ramzi wanted to create power and strength through his art, which would help carry the drivers through the demanding week of the Le Mans race. Ramzi says, "I wanted to give the livery an aggressive identity to make an impact and show that Larbre Competition was not coming to La Sarthe to make up the numbers.”

5. Romain Brandela

Romain Brandela is one of the three drivers that will sit behind the wheel of this unique Corvette C7. Brandela was the man that contacted Ramzi to develop a mind-blowing piece for his C7. He believes this one-of-a-kind Vette reminds him of when he used to go to the toy store as a child and see the toy cars with their various designs.

Romain will be driving this art-piece at the 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 17th and June 18th, sharing the racing experience with the other two drivers, Fernando Rees and Christian Philippon; and even though Ramzi won't do any of the driving, he will be there through his artwork.
