Time Capsule

While the C4 Corvette is, for the most part, not something one would want to stash away with the intention of one day selling it for a massive profit, that didn't stop many folks from doing precisely that. Our latest example of this phenomenon is an amazing C4 Corvette that recently popped up on Craigslist with a mere 114 original miles, and it's quite the stunning time capsule, to boot.

Telling a Story

This 1994 Corvette convertible features a cool copper exterior hue to boot, which isn't terribly common. Better yet, we know precisely why this car was never driven any significant distance - it belonged to a former Chevy dealer and Corvette collector named Bob McDorman.

Many Choices

McDorman passed away back in 2015, but he was an avid collector, owning as many as 200 cars at once during his heyday. And that's precisely why the Corvette Hall of Famer didn't get around to driving this Corvette very much - he simply had too many vehicles to choose from every time he needed or wanted to get out and about.

Rare Hue

Unfortunately, the for sale ad didn't provide much information about this C4 itself, but we do know that its Copper Metallic hue makes it incredibly rare - only around 24 convertibles emerged from GM's assembly line wearing it in this particular model year. It's in amazing condition too, and it might also just be the nicest of that two-dozen run.

Lofty Price

From top to bottom, inside and out, this C4 is in immaculate shape - just what we'd expect from such a notable collector. However, there is one sticking point - the asking price of $49,900 certainly seems a bit high, even for a car this nice and rare. Regardless, the for-sale ad disappeared rather quickly, so we have to assume that some kind of deal was worked out, even if we don't know how much it ultimately sold for.
