Blue Skies

From music to fashion and, yes, vintage automobiles, '80s style is back and bigger than ever. So, get out your old pair of wayfarer sunglasses and your favorite ZZ Top tapes, because this blue angel is ready to help you embrace vintage style. Thanks to excellent preservation and a few upgrades, such as new performance parts.

Smiling At Me

If this 1987 Corvette convertible's sky-blue exterior doesn't catch your eye, its matching sky-blue leather interior certainly will. In fact, the car's exterior paint was reapplied in the 2000s with factory-correct color matching to preserve its vintage look. Matching blue carpets and door paneling allow the jet-black dash to really pop.

The car is powered by a numbers-matching, fuel-injected 350-cubic-inch L98 engine that fires right up. Performance enthusiasts will love the fact the car's reliably speedy engine is matched to a four-speed automatic transmission complete with overdrive and power steering.

Do I See

The car's jet-black side pinstripe was also a later addition from the original. Also assed was its unique rear steel roll hoop, added for a distinctive style, safety as well as rigidity. The car's other well-placed upgrades include a new air intake and distributor.

Bluebirds Singing a Song

The Corvette's navy blue soft-top convertible roof adds the third hue of this vintage "triple blue" performance car. That accent plays wonderfully off the car's two chrome dual rear exhaust pipes. Original hubcaps, complete with Corvette badging, complete the car's "totally rad" look.

Nothing But Blue Skies From Now On

A total of 10,625 Corvette Convertibles were produced for the 1987 model year, but perhaps none quite as unique as this one. This model Corvette was the first to implement a Bosch ABS II anti-lock braking system, a significant breakthrough in automotive technology at the time.
