Longtime Owner

Corvette restomods are a dime a dozen these days, and for good reason. Classic Corvettes make the perfect base for a modernized build, and the addition of newer mechanicals makes them pretty amazing to drive, too. But this C3 restomod built by Dynamic Corvettes is a bit different than most, as the owner purchased it many years ago when he was just 14, driving it only when he had money for gas. Now, we imagine he's going to want to drive it any chance he gets.

Years of Work

When Mark dropped off his C3 at Dynamic Corvettes, he simply told them to "build me a badass car," and chose the wheels and paint color. The rest was up to the shop, and they spent a full two years completely reinventing the old Corvette.

Custom Bodywork

Much of that time was spent completely redoing the bodywork of this C3, which has received a host of custom fiberglass parts including the front bumper, bumperettes, and grille moldings. The headlights now reside in custom buckets with bezels added, and there's a carbon fiber front splitter below them that adds a nice modern look as well.

Modernized Cabin

Inside, the floor pans were modified to drop the seats 1.5 inches, while the door skins, upper and lower dash, center console, gauge cluster, and speaker box are all either heavily modified or completely custom. An inMotion system handles all the electronics, though the owner can also control everything either via the car's touchscreen or their smartphone, too.

Custom Bits and Pieces

Other notable exterior mods include an L88 front clip, a big block hood, a one-piece carbon-fiber roof panel, an L88 rear clip, a stant back rear window, carbon fiber windshield molding, and a custom rear valence, bumpers, spoiler, and taillight panel, all of which were designed and built in-house.

Work of Art

Under the hood, this C3 features an LS7 crate motor that cranks out 525 horsepower and is backed up by a Tremec T56 transmission. The classic Corvette rides on an Art Morrison chassis with an independent rear taken from a Camaro, while Wilwood brakes help slow the whole thing down. As one might imagine, the engine bay is a work of art as well, thanks to smoothed-out panels, an engine cover, and carbon fiber exhaust covers.

Award Winner

This reimagined 1969 Corvette is truly an impressive piece with countless hours of labor invested in it, and we have to imagine that its longtime owner is pleased with the way everything turned out. After all, this C3 has done nothing but win awards since it was completed, and it's easy to see why.
