C6 Z06 Project Car Proves It's a Performance Bargain
Bargain performance builds don't get much better than this.

This particular C6 is also a Z06, meaning that it's the perfect canvas for a performance build. Already a competent machine, transforming the C6 Z06 into a track terror isn't terribly difficult either, as the owners of this example are quickly discovering after finding the absolute cheapest one they could find for sale.
Visual Upgrades
Jakub and Yuri recently hit up the internet to begin ordering some go-fast goodies for their C6, though they also take the chance to purchase a few visual upgrades as well. Those include a set of halo-like headlights, carbon fiber trim, a carbon fiber front splitter, and a carbon fiber steering wheel.
Performance Enhancements
With that out of the way, it's time to make this C6 Z06 faster, and in that regard, the team orders a Corsa exhaust, headers, a larger cam, and a set of heads. They could have obviously done much more, but in this case, those upgrades should be enough to make a notable difference in performance.
Natural Aspiration
The big debate, of course, boils down to power adders. After mulling the idea of ordering a supercharger or turbo(s), the two ultimately decided to stick with natural aspiration for this particular project. It means that they'll make a bit less power, but for many, there's just nothing like a good old N/A V8.
Cheaper Alternative
With all of these new goodies in hand, it's pretty clear that this C6 Z06 is getting a new lease on life very soon. It's also a great watch for anyone thinking about their own budget build, providing them with a road map for success in a world ripe with costlier alternatives.
