Check Out the Corvettes at Tri-City's 23rd Annual Show (Photos)
For some people, there is nothing more pleasing than just admiring the beautiful engineering and design of a Chevrolet Corvette. Check out these masterpieces from the Tri-City 23rd annual show.
1. 1960 Corvette
The Tri-City Corvette club celebrated their 23rd annual show, as they met at Parkdale Mall. This white beauty is a very rare 1960 Chevrolet Corvette. If equipped with the original motor, this Corvette should have an eight-cylinder 283 cubic-inch motor under its hood, and only 10,261 of them were ever made.
2. A Display of Love
The Tri-City Corvette club's mission is to promote fellowship amongst Corvette owners, and nothing promotes such a bond more than lining up a set of Corvettes and enjoying the fine engineering of the legendary machine that has been dominating roads and tracks for 64 years.
3. A Roar of a Lion
The show featured original Corvettes that look as if they drove right off a dealer's lot, as well as custom ones that range from mild to wild. This Corvette features a hood liner with a prestigious lion's face, a perfect picture that commemorates the heart of the Vette's engine. The powerful powerplant that built its reputation and continues to impress on the asphalt.
4. Pure Legend
If you ask any enthusiast what is one of the most recognizable Corvettes ever made, they would tell you a C1 Corvette in red. There is just something indelibly right about the red and white on this car that makes it nothing short of a legend. A car like this, when fully restored, can sell for over $100,000, so please do not lean on it.
5. Dreams Do Come True
On display is a beautifully-restored mid-'60s Corvette. Although this vehicle isn't restored back to its original glory, this is how it would be if it was developed today; the silver-gray with the black and red accents make this classy classic a pleasure to look at thanks to some elegant touches.
6. Bad Casper
This Corvette owner added a small touch to a sleek white Corvette, and although you won't see it with the trunk closed, it is a nice touch for car shows. This car is extremely fast, it will be gone in a matter of a blink, and no, it is not a ghost, it is just a 6.2-liter V8.
