Super speed

You can keep your Veyrons, Venoms, and Vipers because it would take all three of those added together to equal 1 of the engines in this insanely fast contender. At 2,800 horsepower, the power to weight ratio exceeds any of the fastest supercars currently up for sale. This thing moves!

Quarter minute at a time

To understand how fast this is, you need to remember that the current crop of world’s fastest supercars needs much more time to accomplish their top speed and often do so from a roll. The engine in the Malone Vette revs to 10,000rpm with a full run taking place in approximately 15 seconds before the brakes are applied. For reference by the time a Hennessey Venom GT is going 200mph, you are pulling away with a 36mph delta.

Aerodynamics

With all that power on tap, some amount of drag can be sacrificed in the name of high-speed stability. Side profile pictures show what looks like a flat-floor design paired with a very shallow rear diffuser that skips on aggressive angles in favor of slipstreaming through the air. A large rear wing is seen and has an air of NHRA Top Fuel about it, giving the Vette a purposefully aggressive demeanor.

Owner of all things muscle

Morris Malone isn’t the new kid on the block. Having owned everything from 730whp imports to 1000whp muscle cars like a ZR1 with nitrous, this guy has a serious lust for speed. He has regularly driven equipment that produces in excess of 1,500 horsepower and has a good handle on what it takes to keep all those angry horses under control.

Push the boundaries of RWD

Malone has said that he will continue to build this car up until it maxes out. Where that limit exists is anyone’s guess so we’re all along for the ride at this point. With cars about to crack 300 miles per hour in the standing mile the half-mile race is only going to get hotter this year at the Texas Mile come October.
