Dusty Barn Find 1969 Corvette Seeks Second Chance at Life
Those that appreciate a good, dirty barn find will love this time capsule of a C3.
Dusty Find
There's just something incredibly appealing about finding old cars sitting in storage, covered in dust. Folks love a good dusty barn find these days, and the more dust and patina it's covered with, the better. This 1969 Corvette that was recently sold on eBay fits that mold perfectly, as it's a super dusty machine that emerged from storage looking like it's still in solid shape.

Sitting Around
This particular Corvette was in storage for 20 years when it was purchased by the seller, who apparently had it running eight years ago. That person reportedly had plans of restoring it, but simply had too many other projects that were more of a priority, so now someone else can choose which path to take with this classic C3.

Ran When Parked
Last registered in 1990, the '69 Corvette reportedly ran when it was parked, so it shouldn't be terribly difficult to get it going again. As for the car itself, it's a T-top model equipped with GM's 350 horsepower 350 V8, which isn't anything remarkable in the Corvette world, though this is a solid car nonetheless.

More Desirable
The small block is backed up by a four-speed manual transmission, though the car lacks power steering and brakes. It does have a tilt/telescopic wheel, however, as well as power windows. Black on black is a great color combination and one that possibly makes this car a bit more desirable, too.

Rust Free
The seller has a restored pair of leather seats included with the car to replace the old ratty originals, which is a good start. As is the case with most barn finds, the interior of this C3 needs some work, though the seller notes that the car doesn't have any rust, including around the window frame.

Bath Time
As for the exterior, it looks like this C3 will look a whole lot better once the new owner gives it a bath if they choose to not just keep it as-is and get it running. It's unclear how many miles this Corvette has traveled, but the odometer reading of 60k is probably accurate given the fact that it sat for so many years.

Meat on the Bone
While it may not be some pricey artifact like many Corvette barn finds these days, this '69 was well worth saving and passing on to a new owner, and that's precisely what happened here. After a fair amount of bidding, the C3 sold for a solid price of $16,700, so there's still some meat on the bone for the new owner to fix it up and enjoy it.
