First Timer

Most of us purchased our first Corvette after years of wanting one. Some of us were lucky enough to buy one early in life, while others had to work and save up the cash for a number of years. Either way, there's no denying that this was a special purchase and a key memory in our lives, and that was certainly the case for Bob, the subject of this video from YouTuber Brink of Speed, who just purchased his very first Corvette.

Negotiating the Sale

This purchase was facilitated by Michael Brink, the man behind the YouTube channel, whose friend Mark was looking to sell his 2016 Corvette 3LT convertible. A viewer of the channel reached out with interest in the car, at which point its sale was negotiated. As it turns out, the exchange was truly worthy of recording as well.

Love at First Sight

The Torch Red C7 is certainly in fantastic condition, and Bob is truly pleased with it when he first lays eyes on the car. "It's gorgeous, very nice," he says. Bob is also a fan of the more traditional chrome wheels, which have largely been replaced by black ones in today's world. Thus, it's time to take the car out for a test drive to make sure it goes as good as it looks.

Freeing Up Space

After putting the top down, which is essential for a proper convertible test drive, Bob and Mark head off for a little cruise. Mark is admittedly a little hesitant to sell the C7, which he loves, but he wants to move on to a C8 convertible, so he needs to free up a little garage space next to his C3 Indy Pace Car.

Bittersweet Experience

The test drive obviously goes well, and Bob is ready to seal the deal and hand over some cash for the pristine C7. At the same time, Mark is understandably sad to see his dream car go, but at least we can confidently say that he couldn't have found a better buyer to appreciate it the same way he has over the last few years.

Few Extras

Mark is nice enough to include a few cleaning accessories with the purchase that will help Bob keep the drop top in immaculate condition moving forward, which we imagine he will, given his excitement to finally own a Corvette after years of wanting one.

Joining the Family

The best part of this experience, of course, is seeing just how happy Bob is to slip behind the wheel of his very first Corvette. "First Corvette, baby!" he yells as he drives off, two thumbs up excitedly pointed toward the sky. It's a feeling that we've all had once in our lives, and it's truly heartwarming to see yet another person join the Corvette family.
