Daily Slideshow: Geigercars Takes C7 Stingray and Makes it Golden

Germany has always been fond of American muscle cars, especially the Corvette Stingray. Take a look at how German car tuner Geigercars transformed this 2015 C7 into a European Goliath.

The Golden Child

The Germans sure love themselves an American muscle car. Drop a Z51 package and an Eaton Supercharger on top of that, slap some gold paint on it and what it becomes is, well, Corvette’s golden child.

A few years back, German car tuner Geigercars, which has been known to create some bad ass machines, took this 2015 Chevy Corvette C7 Stingray with the Z51 performance package (standard issue in Germany) and turned it into something straight out of The Fast and the Furious.

The Z51 package is standard

The standard 2015 Corvette C7 Stingray is pretty well-endowed with 460 horsepower under the hood. Add to it the Z51 package, which includes a new dry sump oiling system to keep the 6.2L V8 lubricated at all times, brakes, transmission, differential with its own cooling system, and an electronic limited-slip differential that keeps power evenly distributed. With that kind of get up and go, it’s no wonder the Germans get this package as standard.

We're talking a lot of HP

But this C7 Stingray’s story didn’t end there. In fact, the guys over at Giegercars decided to throw in an Eaton Supercharger, boosting the car another 130 hp for a total of 590 hp which is certainly more power than I will ever need driving the streets and freeways of Los Angeles. Geigercars also added their own adjustable coilover suspension to ensure that the power hits the payment – well enough to scorch the pavement. In addition, their own adjustable coilover suspension is added to make sure the power gets to the ground properly.

Carbon fiber and motorsport gold

On top of all this action is a sexy, bodykit that is hard to turn your eyes away from. As if the Corvette Stingray wasn’t aggressive looking enough, Geigercars’s lightweight carbon fiber kit finished in “motorsport” gold gives the C7 the Midas touch. Aside from its aesthetic qualities, the kit also helps to increase downforce and reduce drag.

Stealing the spotlight

The lightweight gloss black alloy wheels, also developed by Geiger, support 19 inches in the front and 20 in the rear and look extra special with yellow striping to match the gold exterior of the car.

Apparently, Corvettes in Europe are already head turners, but rumble through town in a Geiger C7 Stingray and you’ll make sure nobody else on the road gets any attention at all.
