Gorgeous 1967 Corvette Restomod Exudes Pure Class
The perfect mix of vintage style and modern upgrades.
Right Choice
Restomods - in spite of their similarities - often take a very different approach in terms of style, in particular. Some go ultra-modern and attempt to reimagine a car's design, while others retain a mostly stock appearance with minor tweaks. This gorgeous 1967 Corvette that recently crossed the block at Barrett-Jackson's Palm Beach auction chose the latter, which is the correct decision for a C2 in our humble opinion.

Perfect Basis
This particular car was one of several that came from John Staluppi's Cars of Dreams Museum, and this particular Corvette provided the perfect basis for such a build. "The 1967 Corvette is considered by many to be one of the most iconic cars in history,” said Craig Jackson, chairman, and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “John Staluppi's restomod version of this famous sports car equals the custom vehicles built by the great prewar European craftsman."

Timeless Style
It took a full two years to build this beauty, and it has only been driven sparingly since to ensure everything is functioning properly. Thus, this C2 restomod is essentially a brand new build covered in PPG Classic White paint with a red Stinger hood. Wider rear quarters and wheel tubs house a set of Curtis Speed knock-off wheels and redline tires, which are a whopping 12 inches wide in the rear.

Smoothed Out and Detailed
Powering this beast is a 5.7-liter LS6 V8 that's been treated to twin throttle bodies and a factory-style air cleaner that makes it look more OEM at first glance. The engine bay is a work of art, smoothed out, highly detailed, and covered in Charcoal Metallic paint.

Totally Custom
Inside the cabin is a different story, however, as no one is mistaking this for a classic Corvette interior. The one-off custom red leather threads cover a custom center console and door panels, while modern amenities bring this vintage ride into the future - including a wireless phone charger, Bluetooth audio, and a Vintage Air HVAC system.

Modern Mechanicals
Underneath, this '67 is packing a whole look set of components that includes a Coffman chassis that's been powder coated for a sanitary look and fitted with newer goodies including the suspension from a C6 Corvette, 14-inch Wilwood brakes at all four corners, and an electric parking brake.

Timeless Build
Add it all up, and you've got one heck of a nice ride that's guaranteed to withstand the test of time, unlike some other cars we've come across. Bidders certainly recognized that fact too, as this sweet Corvette resto-mod ultimately sold for a healthy $220k.
