All Red and White

One look at this car is all it takes to find your lower jaw bone dragging on the floor. With a gorgeous color combination of Signet Red and white, this car has classic 50s muscle in all the right ways. Cruising down the road is assisted by a 283 ci V8 that pumps out 250bhp and plays the classic Corvette soundtrack.

What Did it Sell For?

This particular car sold for $88,000 with no reserve which is a steal given the overall impression it leaves. Few cars command people’s attention like a C1 Corvette. The 60-year-old design is what makes these cars truly iconic. Whoever got a hold of this one got a real gem.

50s Swagger

Interiors on these cars make you wonder how the C4 and C5 were ever let out of the factory. Everything exudes class, from the beautiful steering wheel to the way the shape of the seats is integrated into the bodywork. Even the switches in these cars feel great. Be wary though, seeing one kept in this good of a condition can be hazardous to your wallet.

Doing What They Can’t

Explaining the value of a car like this can be difficult when modern Corvettes are built on the Nurburgring with the intention of shattering lap times (and your skull) in the process. No, climbing into this car is about capturing a certain time and feeling in the automotive world when things were analog. They are engaging to drive, even at slow speeds and that’s what makes them so desirable.

Solid C1

Prices of these cars fluctuate depending on options and colors with coveted models cracking the 6 figure barrier with ease. The C1 sold in lot #665 this year is representative of the value these cars will continue to hold among automotive enthusiasts. A solid reminder that Chevy really knocked it out of the ballpark with the original Corvette.
