Best of All Worlds

When it comes to Corvettes (or any automobile in general), the C2 generation reigns supreme as one of the most gorgeous machines every constructed. So it's no surprise that the car's popularity has never waned.

But when a gentleman by the name of Harley Breite decided he had to have one, his vision was a little different than most. He wanted to combine the best elements of his favorite rides into one, "ultimate" C2 Corvette. And when it was done, he was more than happy to share the results with Super Chevy.

Take a Walk on the Wild Side

To make his vision a reality, Breite teamed up with Jason Pratt, who runs both JE Pro Streets and Yeti Motorsports in Massillon, Ohio. Both shops specialize in big horsepower, Pro Street muscle cars that lean more toward the wild side. And this Corvette fits that bill perfectly.

Unique Combination

At first glance, the split-window on the back of this 'Vette might tell you it's a '63. But the crew actually started with a '65 and grafted that iconic piece in place. Otherwise, Breite is a big fan of the '65 lines, which is how this unique look came about.

Pro in the Streets

To make this a proper Pro Streeter, massive rear rubber is required. Not to mention some suspension tweaks to create enough space for said rubber. So, the team installed a 2x3 back half and custom four-link to free up room for a set of steamrollers.

Custom Undersides

That narrow rear is only part of an impressive custom suspension setup that also features tubular upper and lower control arms and a QA1 adjustable coilover kit. Meanwhile, big Wilwood Pro Series brakes bring the whole thing to a halt in a hurry.

Sensing a Theme

Of course, most people will notice the outside of this gorgeous 'Vette first. And there, you'll find a masterfully laid Reflex Silver paint job, complete with a black stinger on the hood. The overall scheme follows the original big block car's from this era, and for good reason.

Traditional Yet Modern

Despite the wild nature of this beautiful C2, you won't find any crazy custom threads on the inside. Just factory fresh upholstery with a few add-ons like AutoMeter gauges and a RetroSound radio with Bluetooth capability.

Not a Pretender

If it wasn't for the massive Mickey Thompson tires out back, you might even have a hard time telling this C2 apart from your average factory-like custom. But those stretched and tubbed wheel wells are a dead giveaway for what lies underneath the hood. Which isn't your average, "boring" LS or carb 350.

Built to Last

No, in this case, the stinger hood actually covers a big block. To be specific, a monstrous 468 cubic inch mill built by Rusty Vaughn Race Engines. With internals like a forged crank, Eagle rods, and Wiseco forged pistons, it's plenty strong enough to handle a few impromptu burnout sessions.

No Posers Allowed

Comp Cams supplied both the Mutha Thumpr hydraulic cam and lifters, while a set of Merlin Grumpy Jenkins rectangular port heads reside up top. The whole thing is topped off with a FAST EZ-EFI 2.0 fuel-injection system and backed up by a beefed-up TH350 transmission. All of which ensures that this Franken-Vette isn't your average Pro Street poser!
