New Stuff

The C8 Corvette is a car deserving of the finer things in life, like carbon fiber. And GM offers plenty of that as optional factory equipment. Of course, the aftermarket is starting to gear up its carbon offerings as well, and a company named RSC Tuning is joining the mix with a full array of lightweight, cool-looking goodies for new Corvette owners.

Rear Spoiler

One of these new parts is a carbon fiber ducktail rear spoiler that looks quite nice and uses the same four holes as GM's factory Z51 or High Wing spoiler, so it's a clean and easy install for folks that opted for one of those. The spoiler was designing using advanced CFD for low drag optimization, and is attached to the car using lightweight, powdercoated mounting brackets. The price of this pretty piece is $1,395.

Front Splitter

Next up on the list is a carbon fiber front splitter, which retails for $1,495. Like all of RSC's parts, this splitter was laser scanned and 3D CAD engineered to ensure a perfect fit, and uses an autoclave curing process to make a superior product in every regard. The front splitter also installs easily with no modifications to the car required, and increases downforce to boot.

Fit and Finish

In addition to being functional, the front splitter is also quite nice to look at. Much of that can be attributed to its double-bonded carbon fiber construction and deep clear coat, along with the fact that all of these parts are handmade, which is pretty impressive.

Side Skirts

Wrapping up this series of carbon parts are a set of side skirts that help tie it all together. Available for $2,795, RSC's side skirts are also handmade, laser scanned in house, engineered entirely in 3D CAD software, and produced with double-bonded carbon fiber to create a show quality finish and added strength.

Functional and Beautiful

Like the spoiler and front splitter, the side skirts are also designed to be easy to install. And they're also functional aerodynamic components that help reduce drag and clean up the airflow around the vehicle.

More Choices

In our humble opinion, you can never have too many aftermarket options for any car, and the C8 is certainly deserving of them. Luckily for us, the aftermarket is starting to step up with some pretty cool kit, and these parts from RSC certainly seem worthy of our consideration.
