1. 1969 Chevrolet Manta Ray Concept

The Manta Ray concept was based on the 1965 Mako Shark ll. The head of GM design staff, William Mitchell, was a true ocean enthusiast, and it shows in his design of the Mako Shark, as well as the Manta Ray concept. The Manta Ray was extremely futuristic for its time, in fact, it was futuristic for any time, and one of the most special touches on it are the taillights. The unique taillights combine the familiar look of the Corvette with the bottom two lights on each side. But on top, there are two lights that pop open, almost as if the rear is coming at you. To this day, there hasn't been another vehicle with a similar design, but this concept lives on as a dream car.
