1. C5 Generation

The beginning of the C5 Corvette generation started when Chevrolet smoothed out the C4's exterior, and in 1997, the C5 was born. The C5 was a smoother version of the C4, but looks were not the only thing that changed. Perhaps one of the biggest changes was the hydroformed box frame, which improved the structure of the Corvette. The other huge change in the C5 generation was the introduction of the legendary LS1 engine, which worked collaboratively with a relocated transmission that enhanced the weight distribution of the sports legend.

2. 2004 Chevrolet Corvette

The star of our story is a 2004 Chevrolet Corvette, which is covered in a clean, smooth LeMans blue paint. This C5 is equipped with a stock LS1 engine, and the 5.7-liter V8 develops 350-horsepower. There is really nothing too special about this Corvette at first glance, in fact, it comes equipped with an automatic transmission. On the inside, it is just as stock as it is on the outside, which is a simple, mildly-luxurious cabin.

3. Features and Packages

This Corvette is equipped with all of the bells and whistles, like the Preferred Equipment Group/Commemorative Edition package. The $3,700 package features polished wheels, head-up display, memory package, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and automatic headlights. The cabin is equipped with a Bose sound system, dual-zone climate control, as well as power seats.

4. The Last C5 Ever Made

July 1st, 2004 was a special date for Chevrolet, which marked the day their very last C5 Corvette was produced. Not only is this Corvette the very last C5 ever made, it also has never been registered. If this is not impressive enough, the zero-owner C5 has 24-miles on it, and it probably has never seen the sunlight for more than quick transportations.

5. National Corvette Museum

The seats are wrapped in plastic, and with a quick glance, you can tell they have briefly seen a few buttocks for moments at a time. This is your chance to own a brand-new, extremely unique and rare C5 Corvette - if you're crazy. The Corvette is currently on loan to the National Corvette Museum, and it is posted on Buyavette.net for sale for the small price tag of $1 million. People are saying that someone will eventually buy it, but it will take an extremely special person to drop that kind of money on this kind of car.
