This rare 1969 Chevrolet Motion Corvette Mako Shark II is now up for auction. Originally the Vette was built for Reggie Fountain, owner of Fountain Power Boats. This stunning 1969 Motion Mako Shark II is one of the most radical one-off performance machines to ever wear the Motion badge.

Rare Drivetrain

As you'd hope it has all the documentation dating back to its first owner along with a copy of the Manufacturer's Statement of Origin is also included. Under the hood sits a rare Motion 427 engine that pumps out an eye-watering 520 horsepower. All that power is sent through a 4-speed manual transmission which has a rare Hone-O-Drive overdrive.

Motion

There'll be no mistaking this Motion Corvette for a regular ol' C3 Vette. It comes fitted with Motion emblems and wing nuts, and a Motion fuel cell. The deluxe Motion Mako Shark II body kit was a wide-ranging package that included front and rear clips, hinges, unique headlights, and a special bar grille insert, and it’s reportedly the only one to come from Motion with chrome front and rear bumpers.
