Easy Fix?

Since the C8 Corvette launched back in 2019 for the 2020 model year, we've seen our fair share of wrecked examples pop up at salvage auctions. This is sad but inevitable when you're talking about fast cars, as not everyone has the skills or common sense to drive them without running into other objects. Now, two different C8s have popped up at Copart looking rather sad, though both can presumably be fixed rather easily, too.

Runs and Drives

The first of this wrecked C8 duo is a well-equipped 2022 3LT model finished in Caffeine Metallic with just 433 miles on the clock. Unfortunately, this one appears to have suffered some frame damage, as well as additional damage listed as "all over," though it reportedly runs and drives, at least.

Rear End Collision

From what we can see in the photos, this C8 has suffered some front-end damage, and it's missing its rear quarter panels and rear fascia. Something ran into the back of this car, so perhaps it wasn't the owner's fault, at least.

Swap Candidate

Regardless, it's a huge bummer to lose a car like this after just a few hundred miles. If nothing else, at least it would make a good donor vehicle for an LT2 swap.

Second Example

Next, up, we have this Amplify Orange 2022 Corvette 2LT that has damage at both ends, but also reportedly runs and drives. This particular car also has ultra-low miles on the clock - 508 - but the airbags deployed during its crash, as we can see in the photos.

Easier Fix

It appears that this particular C8 didn't suffer any damage underneath, at least, so perhaps it's a better candidate for repair than the other one. It needs a front and rear fascia as well as a hood, at the very least, but those jobs aren't difficult to do.

More to Come

One thing has become abundantly clear over the past couple of years - there will be plenty of wrecked C8 Corvettes hitting the auction block for years to come, as people just can't help but crash the mid-engine sports car in large quantities.
