Default Onstar & XM Help

I have a 2011 GS and I am keeping the stock non Bose HU. I am replacing amp and speakers. To get OnStar to play through center channel speaker do I need GMAH24? Will the stock XM receiver work since I am keeping stock HU?

Over the last few years I've lost track of the best adapter for each situation, but I believe all you need is the DIY AddGM24. The RCA's will give you the audio signal, and you can tap the wire at pin B3 to use as your amp trigger.

Dennis from DoubleDmods or Pentavolvo should be able to confirm this.

Yes.

If all you do is use the AddGM24 behind the dash, run new RCAs and a trigger wire to the amp, and new speaker wires from new amp to new speakers, then everything SHOULD function just like oem (except it will sound better and be much louder).

Is your plan to use components in the doors and put a real sub in the back?
