Peripheral PXDP PXHGM4 iPod Adapter Problem?
Hello,
My car is a 2002 Z06 without the trunk mounted CD Changer.
I have an issue with my Peripheral PXDP PXHGM4 Chevrolet Corvette 97-04 iPod Adapter kit.
I purchased the kit online from Dennis at Double D Mods.
I installed it last spring.
It worked great for a couple of months.
Recently, for some reason the my front speaker intermittently stops and starts working.
I immediately switch to the radio when this happens and the speaker works....Switch back to Ipod (AUX), speaker doesn't work.
iPod always works fine when using head phones.
I use it with my iPod with a 8-30 pin lightning adapter.
I replaced the lightning adapter with a new one but the speaker issue is still there.
Do you think the problem is in the Peripheral iPod Adapter?
I'm thinking about buying a new one at this point.
I'm not an electronics guy.
Any opinions appreciated.
Thanks,
Silverbird

It may be the ipod. Try it on another device that you can plug it in to a 30 pin dock connector, verify it works properly.
If it's something with the adapter, try using a different ipod in the car to see if it plays in both speakers. If same problem, I'd start by re-seating all of the plugs on the PXDP. If it still isn't working, then I'd get a new box.
