As noted above we left an hour yesterday for airport after they arrived and will be back Friday night

Outstanding, George. Now I just need to decide whether I want to tear out my Bose speakers and replace them with the boffo set you recommended.

Any suggestions from others as to whether that's worth doing?

Also I will follow your write up on here for the install. Have you seen any write ups for installation of the front facing camera? I ordered the one you recommended way back when I pre-ordered the HU.

Let me assist...


Just take the power and ground(red and black) run it back to red and black on radio harness
connect the video feed to front camera
that about it

Startup time on the 9903 is about 10-11 seconds

I should be more specific. What wiring route do you normally do?

I remembered reading lots of people go through a grommet behind the battery. When I went to install my amp for my sub I didn't see that to be an easy thing. I ended up going down to the bottom of the car then in between the painted trim and frame. I then fished the cable up to the trunk through what felt like an existing grommet. Had to remove the wheel liner to get my hands to the cable but that is a few twist screws. I also read of people drilling holes. I was attempting the "no modification to the car approach". That was my approach for a wire from the battery to the trunk.
