Default Is seafoam or GM top end cleaner necessary for a hard driven car?

I have 63,000 miles on my car and am about to swap headers and valve springs.

Just curious if I should think about doing the sea foam treatment to the car.

or

Does running HPDEs keep the chambers clean to where it really won't matter?

Waist of time. Each time you drive at WOT you clean and decard the engine.

If its driven that hard there should be relatively little carbon buildup. Its low-rpm part throttle operation that gunks it up.

It doesn't hurt to throw some SeaFoam in the tank every once in a while though, especially during the winter months. I found out about the stuff years ago while storing motorcycles. It's not only an excellent fuel stabilizer (without drying out the seals and gaskets like Stabil does), it does a great job in cleaning the fuel system.

When you take the exhaust off to install the headers look inside the ports and look down inside the exhaust manifolds. They should be a nice reddish brown color and as clean as a whistle if your car is running long periods of time at WOT.

You should be just fine. Funny story, about 10 years ago my grandpa called me and ask me to look at his car. He had something that would turn on his car every hour if it was below zero and let it run for about 10 minutes. His said it just didn't feel like it had power. I went over there and started it up. When I jumped on the gas it felt like a plugged cat. Well I went out on the highway and spent about 20 minutes going WOT and then back down to a normal speed. I did this until it felt good. He was happy with it after the WOT fix.

You should be OK, but look anyways.
