Default "TCC prepared"

What do the rules require to make my 1997 meet "TCC Prepared" standards?
Is a rollcage enough? Does it have to extend thru the firewall? Do I need a fuel cell instead of the stock gas tanks?
I won't feel bad about removing the CD player, but if I have to remove the windows to let the door bars fit I might think twice.
From those who've been there, would I be better off buying a car that already has a logbook? The only problem I see with that is the chance of picking up someone else's headaches. I already know that my Vette is healthy and capable.

Pheonix puts in the SCCA door bars and leaves the windows. They cut the bottom panel of the door.

I strongly recommend that you buy a car already prepared instead of building one yourself!!!!!! If you just want to go out and race your car and have fun, then continue on; but if you want to get close to the pointy end of the grid, then you'll need your car very light and well sorted. The TCC prepared class runs 3100 lbs with the driver!!!!! You need to take out just about anything and everything you can to get close to those numbers...to include side glass, radio, etc.

You'll also have to make some serious mods to the driveline to come up to their HP/TQ numbers.

TCC prepared is for ex World Challenge cars.

Take a look at the for sale section to see the extend of how they're modified.
